"Getting Things Done"

June 15, 2007

Dr. Jeffrey Pfeffer, Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior, Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, visited IESE last month where he led "Getting Things Done", a Short Focused Program that addresses strategy implementation and looks at factors such as measurement and accounting, power and influence and building social networks.

In this video, Dr. Pfeffer discusses the effects of globalization on business education. Countries that attract and maintain the most skilled and able workforce are the ones that will succeed, which, according to Dr. Pfeffer, needs to be addressed in business school curriculum. He also highlights the benefits of the "Getting Things Done" conference and talks about what inspired him to write his book What Were They Thinking?: Avoiding Common Management Mistakes.
