Scott Taylor, assistant professor of organizational behavior in the School of Management at Boston University, visited IESE recently as one of several experts to participate in a recent conference, sponsored by IESE's International Research Center on Organizations (IRCO) and the newly-launched Cross-Cultural Management Network (CCMN). The network is an initiative that seeks to generate research on cross-cultural issues in organizations.
In this interview, Prof Taylor emphasizes how knowing one's real and ideal selves is the key to unleashing human potential and helps us to identify our real self in order to progress professionally. He also highlights how this can become more difficult in a multicultural environment where cultural differences exist.
Prof Taylor has published numerous scholarly research and practitioner articles that cover topics such as leadership development, sustainable individual change, management education, and executive coaching.
