Hitting the Books: IESE Summer School Held in July

The program ran from July 5-9 at the Barcelona campus

IESE Summer School - an intensive, 1-week program aimed at giving university students a close-up view of the business world - took place on the Barcelona campus, July 5-9. The program gives students the experience of what it's like to do an MBA at one of the world's top-ranked business schools.

Undergraduates, as well as graduates, are eligible to attend the program. Led by IESE faculty members, the program combines academic sessions, teamwork, classroom lectures and organized social activities in Barcelona.

A typical day for a student in IESE's Summer School program begins with an individual team meeting where students prepare for the day's challenges. This is followed by the presentation of a real-life business scenario and a lecture. After lunch, students break into teams to work on what they've learned, and end the day with a group analysis. In the afternoon, students participants in a range of social and cultural events, and also visit the city of Barcelona.
