IESE and Florida Foundation Offer Scholarship for Executives

New Partnership Supports Participants in the SEP for Latin America

IESE Business School and the Spain Florida Foundation 500 Years have teamed up to offer a scholarship covering 50 percent of the enrollment fees of IESE's Senior Executive Program for Latin America.

The program, which starts in October, features sessions in Miami and at the school's recently-inaugurated center in New York City.
 
Created within the context of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Spanish explorers to Florida, the partnership seeks to reinforce the presence of Spain in the U.S., emphasizing the Spain's historical contribution to the state of Florida, as well as the rest of the United States.The initiative also builds upon IESE's expanding activities in the United States, where it has opened a new center in Manhattan.

Professionals interested in presenting their candiditure for the scholarship should apply by August 13, 2010 via e-mail to aberenguer@spain-florida.org. Applicants must submit a detailed essay focusing on "How to make the most of the V Centenary of Florida, so that the Hispanic contribution to the history of the U.S. is more recognized and valued?" The essay can be written in either English or Spanish and should be accompanied by the registration form and completed entirely. The form can be downloaded here.

Finalists will be determined by a jury made up of four members, two designated by IESE Business School and two by the Spain Florida Foundation 500 Years. The list of finalists will be announced on September 1, 2010. The selected candidates will be subject to subsequent evaluation by the IESE Selection Committee. The committee will make the final decision concerning the suitability of each candidate and will select the winner, which will be announced in September.

The IESE Senior Executive Program for Latin America is aimed at high-level executives and managers at multinational companies who have ample international experience and a strong interest in Latin American markets. The program develops the participants' management and leadership skills, helping them face current challenges in the quickly-changing business environment.
