New Blog Spotlights IESE's Award-winning DGDW Conference

The event will take place Feb. 25-26
January 17, 2011

MBA students recently launched a blog in connection with the school's annual Doing Good and Doing Well conference, which focuses on responsible business.

Set to take place on Feb. 25-26, the event is the largest student-led event of its kind, drawing more than 600 CSR experts and MBA students from leading business schools around the world to IESE's campus.

Confirmed speakers at this year's DGDW conference include Lord Michael Hastings, Global Head of Citizenship and Diversity, KPMG; Pamela Hartigan, director of the Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Said Business School; Kumi Naidoo, Executive Director of Greenpeace; and Juliet Schor, professor at Boston College and co-founder of Center for a New American Dream.

The newly-launched blog features conference updates and covers issues addressed during the DGDW conference. The most recent post highlights a short essay competition organized by Cornell University's Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise.  The initiative seeks to bring attention to the challenges of business in underserved markets and identify innovative business initiatives and solutions to those challenges.

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) named the DGDW conference the "TeamMBA Best Education Initiative" at its annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland in 2009.
