Experts Measure Up CSR. IMPACT Project Brings European Scholars to IESE

January 20, 2011

On Jan. 20-21, scholars from diverse European countries will converge at IESE Business School to contribute to a project aimed at measuring the impact of CSR.

The IMPACT project will run until 2013 and is led by the Oeko Institue and EABIS. Partners in the project include IESE and 15 other institutions, including INSEAD, Copenhagen Business School and Nottingham University.

IMPACT is funded by the European Commission's 7th Framework Programme for Research FP7/2007-2013 under grant agreement no. 244618. It is the European Commission's largest ever research and knowledge development initiative on CSR.

Prof. Joan Fontrodona and Dr. Steven MacGregor of IESE's Center for Business in Society are leading IESE's participation in the initiative. The meeting at IESE follows previous IMPACT gatherings held in Nottingham and Copenhagen.

"With a conceptual model now defined for measuring the impact of CSR, the meeting in Barcelona will accelerate dialogue for the imminent start of empirical field work," says MacGregor.
