To really understand where globalization stands today, people should focus on individual countries’ structures and economic characteristics, says IESE Prof. Pankaj Ghemawat in a new video interview, published by The Thinkers 50 website.
The world has not globalized to the point that we think it has, he said. Moreover, while many people fear an increasingly integrated global economy, in many cases “you can see globalization ameliorating rather than aggregating things," he says in the interview.
With his new book, World 3.0: Global Prosperity and How to Achieve It, Ghemawat says in the interview, he is trying to dispel common misconceptions regarding globalization that pervade the media and society today.
Ghemawat has been included in the the "2011 Thinkers 50," a list of the world's top 50 business gurus created by The Thinkers 50 website.
