More than 130 IESE alumni and friends are meeting today in the traditional Annual IESE Alumni Meeting held in Chile. The meeting will be opened by Lionel Olavarria (MBA '75), president of IESE's Regional Alumni Chapter in the country.
IESE Prof. Pankaj Ghemawat will next present his book World 3.0: Global Prosperity and How to Achieve It. The book, which has been presented in key international cities, examines the extent to which economies of different countries are integrated and how these should be regulated. In Prof. Ghemawat's view, economic integration and regulation go hand in hand and should be complementary.
Recently, the book was highlighted in the prestigious Schumpeter column in The Economist, which noted that the book "should be read by anyone who wants to understand the most important economic development of our time."
The meeting will close with a Q&A session with Prof. Ghemawat, followed by a reception.
