Biography Adrian Done is assistant professor in IESE's department of production, technology and operations management and research associate with the Advanced Institute of Management (AIM) in the UK. He earned his Ph.D. from the London Business School, University of London and his MBA from IESE. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the Open University and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Loughborough University of Technology. Prof. Done teaches in both MBA and executive education programs. His research into the leveraging of knowledge across manufacturing and service supply chains has received awards from institutions including the European Foundation for Management Development, the Decision Sciences Institute and London Business School. He is an active member of international research networks (e.g. The International Manufacturing Strategy Survey) and is regularly invited to present at international conferences. His research work has been published across both academic and practitioner communities, and he has also authored teaching materials. Prior to masters and doctoral studies, Prof. Done held positions of responsibility as project engineer and production manager, starting with Ford in 1985 and subsequently with the auto division of GKN. Through international roles across the UK, Europe, USA and Latin America he gained Chartered Engineer and Euro Engineer status.
