Biography Alejandro Lago is associate professor in the Production, Technology and Operations Management Department at IESE. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was distinguished as a Gordon F. Newell Fellow. He also holds a degree in civil engineering from the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. Dr. Lago's interests focus on logistics, production systems and the management of complex transportation systems. He has worked for the French Commissariat for Atomic Energy (CEA) as well as as a consultant for several industrial firms, airlines and port authorities, among others. He also joined a Californian start-up during the Internet bubble, which is "suprisingly" still alive.
