Biography Evgeny Káganer is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Systems. His research interests focus on IT innovation, industry transformations, and web-enabled business practices. Recent projects include work on the enterprise use of social media and web 2.0 and the development of online sourcing marketplaces. His research has been presented at top international conferences and appeared in the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal for Information Systems, and the Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings. Prof. Káganer's research on social media in the enterprise has also been widely cited in major news outlets and blogs, including CIO Magazine, ZDNet, eWeek, Read Write Web, and San Francisco Chronicle among others. Prof. Káganer has also done extensive research and consulting in the area of healthcare information systems. In particular, he was involved as a research associate in a three-year project funded by the National Science Foundation examining the implementation and impact of hospital-wide clinical IT applications. Prof. Káganer teaches MBA and executive courses on IT management, online business, and Enterprise 2.0. |
