Summary:
Suez Environment is a worldwide leader in water-related services, serving 125 million individuals. Although 85% of its current activities are located in Europe and North America, Suez has significant activities in many emerging countries in Central and South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. In these countries, the priority is to use an inclusive approach to maintain long-term competitiveness while ensuring significant added-value for its customers, including those living in poverty.
In 2002 Suez set up the project "Water for all" in Manaus, Brazil. Through this project Suez has been able to bring water to the poorest through an astute combination of adapted technology, the active participation of local communities, and the involvement of local authorities, NGOs and bilateral and multilateral institutions. |
