Joan Enric Ricart is the head of the Strategic Management Department and holder of IESE’s Carl Schrøder Chair of Strategic Management. In October 2008, he began his tenure as the president of the prestigious Strategic Management Society.
Prof. Ricart’s interests include offshoring and its effects on the Spanish economy, strategic management, organizational design, sustainable development, telecommunications and corporate governance. He has published several books and articles in international publications.
Rudy Hirschheim

A keynote speaker at outsourcing conferences around the world, Rudy Hirschheim has been widely quoted in prominent publications including The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review and Sloan Management Review.
He has published three books on outsourcing, most recently Information Systems Outsourcing in the New Economy: Enduring Themes, Emergent Patterns and Future Direction.
In 2007, Prof. Hirschheim became a fellow of the Association for Information Systems.
Evgeny Káganer
Professor of Information Systems, IESE Business School

Evgeny Káganer teaches MBA and executive education courses on IT management and e-business strategy. His research interests focus on IT innovation diffusion, industry transformations, and web-enabled business practices.
Prof. Káganer served as a research associate on a three-year project supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation that examined the deployment of enterprise clinical IT systems in U.S. hospitals.
His work has been published in the European Journal of Information Systems and presented at premier international conferences in the fields of management and information systems.
Arie Y. Lewin

Arie Y. Lewin is the director of the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) and lead principal investigator of the Offshoring Research Network (ORN), a project that tracks strategies, experiences and future plans of companies that offshore administrative and technical functions to low-cost countries. Current ORN research focuses on the globalization of innovation.
Prof. Lewin’s research focuses on strategic renewal of organizations, including adaptation and selection as coevolutionary systems; the emergence of new organizational forms; and adaptive capabilities that distinguish between innovating and imitating organizations.
In 2008, Prof. Lewin was distinguished with the Trailblazer Award, presented by the Organization Management and Theory Division of the Academy of Management.
Josep Valor

Josep Valor is the associate dean for Faculty and Research at IESE. His research focuses on the impact of ICTs on competitiveness and industry structure, particularly in the telecommunications, media and IT sectors.
The author of books on the informationtelecommunications hyper-industry and IS management, Prof. Valor has also had his research published in the International Journal of Electronic Commerce and Knowledge and Process Management, among other academic and practitioner journals.
