Jaume Ribera, Academic Director 
Professor of Production, Technology and Operations Management, IESE
Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Florida


Jaume Ribera holds the Port of Barcelona Chair of Logistics at CEIBS in Shanghai, China. His current research interests lie in the areas of operations improvement management, health systems management and project management.

Prof. Ribera has published teaching materials, academic research, casebooks and textbooks. He has worked as a consultant in supply chain management and project management and has participated as a consultant and project manager in health sector management projects in the EU, Central and Eastern Europe, and South
America, with private, public, EU and World Bank financing. He is the vice president of the Board of Caixa
Terrassa, a Spanish savings bank.

David Gosset
Professor of Philosophy, CEIBS

David Gosset is the director of Academia Sinica Europæa at CEIBS, an intellectual interface between Europe and China. He is also the founder of the Euro-China Forum, a yearly conference that aims to foster mutual understanding between the two edges of the Eurasian continent.

An author of numerous articles and papers on China and Europe, Prof. Gosset has done research on the
China/Europe relationship as well as the concept of Eurasia and its articulation within the world system. Prof. Gosset has lectured at École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in France, as well as other prominent European and U.S. institutions.

Jan Oosterveld
Professor of Entrepreneurship, IESE
Master of Business Administration, IESE

Jan Oosterveld’s areas of interest are the management of transformation, entrepreneurship and strategic
management. He is chancellor of the International Academy of Management and sits on the Strategic
Management Society board and the University of Groningen Supervisory Board.

Prof. Oosterveld is a former member of the Group Management Committee of Royal Philips Electronics,
responsible for corporate strategy, corporate alliances and two joint ventures with LGE. Prof. Oosterveld
founded management consulting and investment companies in the Netherlands and Spain in 2004. He currently serves on the board of directors of Continental in Germany, Crucell in the Netherlands, Barco in
Belgium, Cookson in the United Kingdom and Atos Origin in France.
