IESE offers two research-focused degree programs:
the Master of Research in Management (MRM) and the PhD in Management.

The aim of both programs is to prepare students for research careers in academic environments. The MRM is a pre-requisite to the PhD program. Coursework is carried out within the framework of the MRM degree.
The student then begins work on the doctoral thesis, which is required for the PhD in Management degree.

Students may choose to complete the MRM degree only, or go on to complete both degrees.
