The first part of this course covers some classical exploratory multivariate techniques: cluster analysis, multidimensional scaling, correspondence analysis, principal component analysis and exploratory factor analysis. The second part is devoted to structural equation modelling, covering structural and confirmatory factor analysis models and including an introduction to nonrecursive models and multigroup analysis. The course is data-oriented, and uses Stata for the data analysis in the examples and exercises.
