GCLA at a Glance

The comprehensive curriculum explores the CEO’s job as it relates to various strategic, government, investor, market, societal, and trade union concerns, and also examines the impact of the new world order on the Latin American economy. International residential sessions on three continents and international faculty from the partner institutions reflect the truly global dimension of the program. Strategic Team Projects will be facilitated during the three learning modules, allowing participants to explore specific areas of interest for their companies with the guidance and input of professors and fellow participants.

Dates and Structures
To maximize the time spent on the learning process, the Global CEO Program for Latin America takes place over a period of nearly 3 months, divided into three 1-week residential modules, taking place in Europe on the Spanish campus of IESE Business School, North America on the Philadelphia campus of The Wharton School and Asia on the Shanghai campus of the China Europe International Business School. 


Dates for 2010:
Module 1 (Europe/Madrid): April 11 – 16, 2010
Module 2 (North America/Philadelphia): May 9 – 14, 2010
Module 3 (Asia/Shanghai): June 6 – 11, 2010


Participant Profile
The Global CEO Program for Latin America is developed for CEOs, board chairs, and chief decision makers who have more than 15 years’ experience in senior management at successful companies in Latin America.  The class will consist of an exclusive group of top executives who represent diverse companies and industries, have a proven record for leading and implementing, and exhibit high potential for contributing to and enriching the program experience for all.


Location:
Europe on the Madrid campus of IESE Business School, North America on the Philadelphia campus of The Wharton School and Asia on the Shanghai campus of the China Europe International Business School.

Faculty:
The elite teaching faculty is comprised of a team of educators who have distinguished academic and professional reputations. Through their research on business issues, teaching in executive programs, and hands-on experience as business executives, consultants, advisers, corporate board directors, and members of professional associations, they remain connected to the business community worldwide and make significant contributions to the practice of management. As authors and coauthors, program faculty members have produced volumes of books, cases, articles, and academic papers, many of which are global in both outlook and content and have been published internationally.

Limited class size. Profile will be varied in terms of companies, sectors and nationalities represented.


Fee:
For the class of GCLA 2010 $39,000. Fee includes tuition, all reading and classroom materials, most meals and accommodation.
