IESE and Asia

IESE’s involvement with management development in China and India stems from the numerous research projects and programs led by faculty members in the region, as well as the school’s longstanding relationship with the China European International Business School (CEIBS).

IESE faculty members frequently lead programs for local executives on a variety of topics at CEIBS, which is supported by the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd). IESE Prof. Pedro Nueno is President of CEIBS' Academic Council and IESE Prof. Alfredo Pastor has served as dean of the school.

Additionally, IESE, together with Harvard Business School and CEIBS, have launched the Global CEO Program for China, designed for CEOs of leading Chinese enterprises.

IESE faculty, along with CEIBS, offer the Inside China program, which is an ideal springboard for either entering the Chinese market or exploring operational efficiencies. It provides a close-up view of business activities in one of the world's most important business contexts today.

IESE also offers the program Inside India, organized in collaboration with the Indian School of Business (ISB) and which takes place at their campus in Hyderabad and Mumbai (Bombay). Program participants have the opportunity to learn how to do business in this country.

IESE’s Global Executive MBA and Executive MBA feature residential module in Shanghai, which provide insights on conducting business in this rapidly-transforming part of the world. Approximately 20% of MBA full-time students come from Asia.
