Drawing upon its natural connections of language and culture, IESE has been highly involved with business education in Latin America for many years. Most notably, IESE played a key role in the development of a network of nine associated business schools in Latin America, many of which are considered leading institutions today. These schools are located in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
The school also carries out executive programs for managers based in Latin America and those seeking to do business in the region.
Additionally, IESE has designed custom executive programs for companies that have a specific interest in Latin America. These client companies have benefited directly from the school’s extensive knowledge of the local business context, as well as its established networks.
IESE annually recruits highly-qualified students from across Latin America for its full-time MBA program in Barcelona. Approximately 15 percent of the MBA class hails from Latin America.
Since the year 2000, IESE has developed and offered programs in Brazil. Currently, the Advanced Management Program (AMP) for senior business managers and the Program for Management Development (PMD) for functional managers are offered in this region. Additionally, IESE imparts programs specifically designed for businesses in Brazil. The goal of these activities is to reinforce service to Brazilian companies that are already IESE clients and increase the number of organizations in the region that we help.
The school is also involved in long-term development of important economic activities in the region, and has more than 300 alumni working there.
