IESE was founded in 1958 in Barcelona as the graduate business school of the University of Navarra. In 1964, under the guidance of an advisory committee set up by Harvard Business School and IESE, the school launched the first two-year MBA program in Europe, drawing students from all over the world. The Harvard-IESE Committee continues to meet annually to discuss matters of mutual interest and relevance.
IESE’s Global Executive MBA is a pioneering program, one of the first of its kind in the world. Created in 2001, the program was designed to meet the needs of a growing number of experienced professionals who seek to earn high-level MBA credentials, without interrupting their careers. At the same time, it offers invaluable exposure and contact to the diverse business contexts of Asia, Europe and North America.
The program builds upon IESE’s MBA portfolio, and is derived from the school’s overarching mission: to develop business leaders who can have a positive, deep and lasting impact on people, firms and society through professionalism, integrity and a spirit of service.
