Structure and Calendar

The program is taught in a weekly format (on the Barcelona and Madrid campuses) and a bi-weekly format (in Madrid and São Paulo).

  • Classes in the weekly Executive MBA are held on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. The program also includes five intensive weeks, one of which will be held at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

  • Classes in the bi-weekly format are held every two weeks: all day on Fridays and Saturday mornings. The program also includes seven intensive weeks, one of which is held abroad in the case of the Madrid EMBA. The Brazil EMBA includes a week in New York City and a week in Barcelona.

Both programs last 19 months, and the Barcelona and Madrid programs offer an optional week at the IESE New York Center that is not included in the program cost.

During the week abroad in Shanghai, students attend classes and participate in meetings with local business leaders. This experience offers them a complete, global vision of the business world in China.

IESE and the Fundación ICO (Instituto de Crédito Oficial) signed a collaboration agreement five years ago on the Executive MBA and the Asia-Pacific Program. Through this agreement, Executive MBA students benefit from the knowledge and experience of ICO's Asia-Pacific Program, while ICO interns receive a business education from two of the world's most prestigious business schools, IESE and CEIBS.
