The 48th edition of the Global Alumni Reunion is especially significant for us as it is the first time the Global Alumni Reunion will be held in the USA.

To complement the academic sessions, a series of guided visits and activities in and around New York City will be organized for participants.

Friday, 9th October

There will be guided tours for Alumni and guests who have previously registered to visit the IESE New York Building. Tours will run every hour from 14:00 till 17:00.

We are very happy to be collaborating with Cipriani 42nd, a prestigous venue in New York that has been host to many a high profile event, for our 48th reunion. The social dinner will take place on Saturday evening, following the academic sessions. Located in the centre of Manhattan, this Italian Renaissance-inspired landmark of decadence and stomping ground for the social elite, Cipriani 42nd is internationally renowned for its grand gala events hosted by high-brow celebrities and fashionistas. The building's high ceilings and majestic interior make it the perfect setting to round off what promises to be an inspiring conference.

Guests: IESE Alumni and their spouse or one guest may attend this event.

Sunday, 11th October 

Holy Mass ENG 
460 Madison Avenue (located very near to the hotels)

A morning mass for deceased Alumni will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral at 9:00am on Sunday 11th October. All are welcome to attend.

After the Mass, buses will depart from the Meeting Point (Waldorf Astoria) to the cultural activities. See timetables below.
 
Museum tour

New York boasts museums all over the city, housing every art movement from renaissance to post-modernism. We have organized museum visits to three of New York's most emblematic museums. You can book one of the following options on our online registration form

Option 1: Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)

MoMA is a five-story atrium that has housed a colossal collection of over 100,000 pieces of modern art. From Picasso and Matisse to the urban interpretations of Frank Lloyd Wright, aficionados of modern art will not be disappointed. The museum's sculpture garden is also worth a visit. http://www.moma.org/

Option 2: Metropolitan Museum
1000 Fifth Avenue between 80th and 84th Streets

Known to locals as "The Met", this overwhelming museum is a must-see for all art and culture fiends. The sheer size and breadth of the art collections ranging from Oceania to Africa could keep you entertained for days. The rooftop garden, an excellent place to unwind on a sunny day, also becomes a wine bar in the evenings. www.metmuseum.org/

Option 3: Whitney Museum of American Art (OPTIONAL)
945 Madison Avenue at 75th Street on the East Side of Manhattan

The Whitney Museum houses a collection of around 12,000 twentieth-century American works of art ranging from paintings to multimedia installations. Home to collections by artists such as Edward Hopper, Reginald Marsh and Andy Warhol, it is not one to miss for those inspired by modern American art. http://www.whitney.org/

City tour
Pier 59 North at Chelsea Piers, West 23rd Street on the Hudson River

Join Alumni President Bill Layton (MBA-95) and long time NYC resident and alumnus, Lorraine Merghart Ballard (MBA-84) as they host this enjoyable and fun way to experience some of New York City's most memorable sites from the deck of a classic harbor boat. Enjoy a twilight tapas cruise that takes you along the shores of the city's historic Hudson River, into the New York Harbor where you'll enjoy close up views of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge and be enchanted as NYC's skyline view begins to sparkle at night.

Price: €90 per person (incl. a light cocktail onboard and transportation to/from Pier 59)
