Research Excellence Awards
The Association encourages IESE in its research work. Ideas and solutions which are relevant to companies emerge from deep reflection and dynamic collaboration between the academic and business worlds.
With the objective of supporting IESE research, the Association has created the Research Excellence Awards, which recognize the research careers of three IESE faculty members. Awards are given in the following categories:
- Best article published in benchmark academic journal
- Best book
- Best new course or set of teaching materials with perceived international and student impact

The prize is awarded to professor Víctor Martínez de Albéniz, for his article "Competition in the Supply Option Market", published in the journal Operations Research, Vol. 57, No 5, September - October 2009.

This year the prize was jointly awarded to:
Professor Domènec Melé for the book "Business ethics in action: Seeking human excellence in organizations" published by Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan, 07/2009.
Professor Fernando Pereira for the book "Contabilidad para dirección" written in collaboration with Eduardo Ballarín Fredes, Josep María Rosanas Martí, Juan Carlos Vázquez-Dodero de Bonifaz, and published by Barañáin: Eunsa, 2002. (Colección Manuales IESE).
