France IESE Alumni Chapter

Chers tous,
In welcoming you to this website, let me introduce you to the France IESE Alumni chapter with the five "Ws” and a “How”:
"WHY": Our mission is to promote the continuous education among those who have participated in one of the school’s core programs; and to strengthen ties and collaboration among fellow members of the Chapter, as well as with our school.
"WHO": Our alumni community is as diverse as France itself. We are a growing and changing community of 148 alumni with more than 12 nationalities, with less than 50% being French. Our youngest member is 29 years old and the eldest is 87 years old! But no matter the nationality, gender, area of expertise, we all adhere to the same DNA that pushed us to choose IESE above other schools; we adhere to human and ethical values above all.
"WHAT" We are already quite a strong community but we would like to further energize our chapter. Besides the Dîners du Premier Lundi du Mois - which have been successfully and regularly organized for over a decade; the summer events and the IESE Alumni Events, we have:
- The Entrepreneurs Lunch a new initiative to support alumni who have already created or are willing to create their own business.
- The Virtual Community, our new tool to do networking, where you will find surveys, photos of our events, a calendar of all our meetings and lively forums on relevant topics. This virtual community will strengthen ties among French alumni, and will be a virtual space for sharing information, points of view and encouraging collaboration.
- Participation in Special Events including France Amériques, organization of which we are also members, and that bring us the opportunity to network with other business schools such us HBS, Stanford, etc
Together with this strong activity, we are helping IESE to be better introduced in the French business community by:
- Helping Executive Education, G-EMBA and MBA Admissions to contact French companies.
- Support press activities in order to spread good news about our school and about alumni in general in France.
"HOW": full of passion, with a true sense of reciprocity, and deep engagement as the main driver that has been guiding our activities since we organized the first alumni meeting back in 1996, before the formal creation of the chapter in 2002.
"WHEN": Every First Working Monday of the Month: for the Dîner du Premier Lundi, where we also invite an “expert” or “guru” in their area six times a year to shares with us his/her passion for a specific business topic with us.
Every Third Thursday of the Month, for the Entrepreneurs Lunch, since more than 30% of the chapter members have created their own business.
Once a term: for the Academic Session, with an IESE Professor as keynote speaker.
Once a year: for the Summer Event.
"WHERE": Since we are geographically concentrated in Paris and the Paris Region, our events mainly take place there. But our summer events usually take place out of Paris.
Last but not least, I would like to thank you for all your support in all these achievements and encourage you to continue helping us in making our Chapter continue to grow and develop.
With warmest regards,
Gloria Perrier-Châtelain
President of the France Alumni Chapter
