Switzerland IESE Alumni Chapter

Grüezi mitenand!
Bonjour!
Bongiorno!
Bainvegni!
Welcome to the IESE Alumni Chapter in Switzerland, the small country in the middle of Europe with four official languages. In addition to quite a number of multinational companies and banks, we have some rather high mountains and a lot of rocks to offer. As much as we attempt to be rock solid in internal and external affairs, the definition of solidity has been put to some test in the recent financial market storms. We are confident to be able to regain strength after the storm.
We are about 130 alumni in different parts of this country, all from pretty diverse backgrounds. The alumni chapter was set-up 2008, just around the celebrations of IESE´s 50th anniversary. Our first formal event hosted Dean Jordi Canals and Professor Paddy Miller in Zurich. Our second event in the spring of 2009 focused on sustainability and had two speakers, Professor A. Rahnema and Dr. A. Vayloyan from Credit Suisse.
The alumni board meets regularly. We aim to develop a program which is attractive to all of us and gives us the opportunity to get together for social and continuous-education purposes. That includes the building and fostering of friendships among the alumni, the arranging for meetings of interest and the promotion of IESE throughout the country. In addition to the events cited above, we will introduce lunch circles in the cities of Basel, Geneva and Zurich. This may help in bringing IESE- alumni and friends together on a regular basis in these three important and interesting cities of this country.
Let me again welcome all our IESE-alumni in this beautiful country and encourage you to join us at our events with your ideas, support and jovial presence.
With kind regards,
Bence Andras
President of the Switzerland IESE Alumni Chapter
