CSBM_ COREAThe CSBM participates in a conference organized by Yonsei University in Seoul
Madrid, October 19, 2009
Magdalena Opazo, CSBM member, traveled to Korea to participate in the Conference "The Impact of Sports Marketing / Sponsorship on Corporate Brand Building and Nation" organized by Yonsei University in Seoul. Magdalena presented the paper "Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona: their strategies and implications for sponsors and Brand Management".
At the same conference also presented their work professors coming from prestigious universities like Bernd Schmitt, Columbia University, John Davis, Emerson College and Anton Meyer, Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. On the other hand, the perspective of the firms was introduced by Miky Lee, Vice Chairman of CJ Entertainment and Media, Hong Seung Sung, CEO Cube Entertainment Minsuk Yang, CEO and Yang YG Family Hajoon, Executive Director Rank

 

CSBM-EASM AMSTERDAMThe CSBM attends the EASM annual conference.
Madrid, September 20, 2009
The CSBM attended the XVII edition of the Annual Conference of the EASM (European Association of Sport Management) held in Amsterdam from September 16-19, where he also presented the Valencia case. Entitled Best Practices in Sport Facility and Event Management, the conference was held at the Amsterdam Arena, the Ajax Football Club stadio, Amsterdam's main football team. During the days of the conference, attendees had the opportunity to learn and discover new trends in research on Sport Management.
At the end of the act the appointment of Mikel Urdangarín as president of the EASM was made public. Mikel Urdangarín is also, for several years, a member of the International Advisory Committee of CSBM. Congratulations for all of us.

Sandalio Gomez, president of the CSBM, attended the agreement Ferrari-Banco Santander
Madrid, September 14, 2009
Lucca Cordero di Montezemolo, Ferrari's president, and Emilio Botin, chairman of Banco Santander chose the circuit of Monza, in Milan, to sign a sponsorship agreement that will link the bank with the team for the coming seasons. Given the importance of this deal, the guests at this act were not only entrepreneurs and the media, but also a large group of experts in sports sponsorship among whom was Sandalio Gomez, president of the CSBM.

CSBM CE2CSBM Strategy Committee Met at IESE to Evaluate the Year and to Propose New Investigation Lines

The Strategy Committee of the Center for Sport Business Management (CSBM) met once again to evaluate the year and to propose new investigation lines. This Committee, chaired by Professor Sandalio Gomez, relied, among others, on Emilio Butragueño, Francisco Roca, Jacobo Beltrán, Javier Lozano, Alberto Garcia Chápuli, Lolo Sainz, Javier Herrero, Raúl Castro, Fernando Martín, Ignacio Gracia and Carlos Martí.

CSBM - Foto V ForumFifth International Forum of CSBM
Valencia, March 3, 2009
Sandalio Gómez, IESE Professor and President of the Center for Sport Business Management, said that "Valencia is a perfect model of strategic development through the hosting of sports events" during the inaugural act of the Fifth International CSBM Forum. The Forum was celebrated in Valencia and brought together important sport experts.

CSBM Strategy Committee Meet to Define Key Objectives

The CSBM strategy committee met twice to define the center's key aims and objectives for the following year. These include developing research into the role of sporting events in the development and internationalization of cities, and how to professionally manage sports clubs.
