Personnel Management in the New Economy

Team: José Ramón Pin and Javier Quintanilla

This line of research focuses on analyzing the impact that the new economy and business via internet will have on various aspects of human resource management.

The intention is to reflect on the manner in which both traditional organizations and e-businesses should adapt their personnel management policies to the new forms, culture and roles of the employee in the New Economy.

The project analyzes new ways of attracting, developing and retaining personnel in the organization, and provides criteria for recognizing the traditional formulas also valid for e-economy.

Research is based on analysis of an organization on three levels related to personnel management:

  • Level of values and missions.
  • Level of work and management styles.
  • Level of management systems: recruiting, selection, training, salaries.
