Home.CreditAndorra

Created in November 2006, the "Crèdit Andorrà Chair of Markets, Organizations, and Humanism" strives to promote research into all the fields related to markets, organizations, and the human facet of companies.

Under the leadership of Josep Maria Rosanas, the Chair will strive to undertake research and spread knowledge with the goal of stressing the human nature of organizations and emphasizing the key role of people in management.

Mission

The “Crèdit Andorrà” Chair of Markets, Organizations and Humanism was created with the goal of contributing to improving understanding of markets and organizations as methods of coordinating human activity from a humanist standpoint, in part taking the work of professor Pérez López as a point of reference. It will also try to examine the current situation in Andorra to learn more about the status of companies in this country and uncover their needs and thus their possibilities for improving. It further aims to foster the education and training of business people and executives in Andorra and other countries to ensure that they perform their duties properly.

The Chair also aims to spread its studies and knowledge through the general media, specialized journals, and academic forums. The joint work of the group of professors and researchers associated with the Chair will be vital when publishing these studies in books, leaflets, and other publishing formats.

Research

The Chair’s research projects revolve around the following axes:

1. Undertaking studies related to the mission, vision, governance, and values of organizations.

2. Performing empirical research and case studies on the current status of Andorran companies in both the public and private sector in relation to:

- Financial structure and information systems

- Relationship marketing

- Transactions and management of people

- Strategy and human structure of organizations

- Economic, institutional, and social setting

The goal is to attempt to identify the possible shortcomings and challenges that the future has in store for Andorra and its institutions.

As a whole, the research undertaken from this Chair aims to be at once theoretical and practical and to help to systematically find out the status of companies and other institutions in the country.
