The Library has the following Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing product on trial: ORBIS Top 750,000 until January 31, 2008.

ORBIS Top 750,000 is a global database which has information on the top 750,000 companies worldwide. ORBIS includes full searching facilities and global standard report format for in-depth international searching and analysis.

The companies breakdown as follows:

- over 47,900 listed companies worldwide,
- over 21,700 banks and 5,930 insurance companies,
- over 430,000 European companies from 46 countries,
- over 262,000 US and Canadian companies,
- over 52,000 South and Central American companies,
- approximately 171,000 Far East and central Asia companies,
- approximately 8,570 African companies.

The information is sourced from over 40 different information providers (IPs), all experts in their regions or disciplines. As well as descriptive information and the company financials, ORBIS contains further detail such as news, market research, ratings and country reports, scanned reports, ownership and M&A data.
