IESE - with campuses in Europe and an executive education center in New York City - is one of the world’s most international business schools. Founded in 1957, IESE seeks to develop leaders with solid business skills, a global mindset, and the motivation to make a positive impact on society. The school launched its MBA program in 1964 under the guidance of an advisory committee set up by Harvard Business School.
Consistently ranked among the world’s top business schools, IESE takes a personalized approach to management education. The ethical dimensions of decision-making, indispensable for personal growth and corporate sustainability, receive special emphasis. IESE is an initiative of Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Roman Catholic Church. As such, the school draws its values from the Christian tradition, emphasizing the intrinsic rights and dignity of every person.
IESE began providing executive education for business leaders in Europe at a time when executive education was scarcely known outside the United States. The school also initiated joint venture executive education, now a growing tradition among leading business schools. Today, the school enjoys alliances with top U.S. schools such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT Sloan, Wharton, NYU Stern and Columbia. IESE opened permanent offices in New York City in 2007, further strengthening its presence in the United States. New campuses are also in progress in São Paulo, Brazil, and in Munich, Germany.

“I chose IESE especially for its approach to ethics. There is an element of guidance here that makes us reflect on the ethical aspects of being a business leader.”
