October 19-20, IESE Business School hosts the first Latin American MBA Career Fair on its Barcelona campus. This two-day event will include company presentations, a career fair, interviews for full-time positions as well as internships, and networking opportunities for participants.

The event is a result of close collaboration between the Latin American Business clubs of IESE, INSEAD and LBS, whose efforts bring together top MBA talent and recruiters from diverse companies including Itaú Unibanco, Mongeral Aegon, Santander Group, Integration, Credicorp, Johnson & Johnson, B2W, Gardz, LATAM, Gerdau, Votorantim Cimentos, Gafisa and DirectTV.

The fair, one of seven major recruiting events held at IESE this academic year, is a response to the growing potential of Latin American economies and the increasing number of MBAs looking to the region for their career development. As the first career fair focused on Latin America, the event aims not only to facilitate a streamlined recruiting process for companies and students, but also to build a long-term relationship between the three schools and participating companies.

"Latin America’s economies have been growing strongly and steadily for the past decade and young, smart people such as MBA students want to be part of this", said IESE’s Director of IESE Career Services, Javier Muñoz. "At IESE we believe it is our duty to respond to, not only changes in the world economic context, but more importantly, to our students’ interests and needs. For this reason, the school has launched a number of initiatives, such as career modules in Brazil, where students have the chance to visit renowned companies, and a two-week overseas module in Sao Paulo on how to do business in the region."

The next International Career Fair, organized by IESE in conjunction with Europe’s top business schools, will be held next 2nd and 3rd of November at London Business School’s campus in London. The fair, which is run in partnership with RSM, HEC and IMD, is aimed at Asian companies interested in recruiting top European MBA graduates.
