The European Workshop on ¨The Effectiveness of Logistics Alliances¨will present the results of a research project developed with the help of more than 100 companies among logistics service providers and multinational clients across Europe, led by Joan Jané together with IESE a couple of years ago. We would like to invite all the participants in the study as well as other relevant practitioners to the event. Our aim is to share the results of this empirical study and initiate live discussions to contrast different views.

Objectives and methodology
|
|
Our empirical research has raised some controversial conclusions about how long-term logistics partnerships must be managed (see paper in attachment (PDF, 127 Kb) for details on the study results).
The objective of this workshop is to share the results with the participants on the study, but also to have an opportunity to openly discuss with the participants their views on the results. For that purpose, we have prepared a half-day guided workshop.
The methodology will consist of a combination of faculty presentations, a personal analysis exercise, some focus groups led by IESE faculty and a final open general discussion. We believe that a guided discussion will add value to all by means of the sharing of everybody's professional experiences, and will deepen our understanding about the correct mechanisms to collaborate and manage long-term logistics relationships.
