Search Tool: ExecuComp

Standard & Poor’s ExecuComp provides executive compensation data on salary, bonus, options and stock awards, non-equity incentive plans, pensions and other compensation items on offer. The information is collected directly from each company's annual proxy (DEF14A SEC form).

ExecuComp data is delivered in six main tables:

• Annual Compensation
• Plan Based Awards
• Outstanding Equity Awards
• Deferred Compensation
• Pension Benefits
• Director Compensation

The index contains over 2,872 companies, both active and inactive. They include all of the S&P 1500, as well as many of the companies that used to be listed. The systematic collection of data on the S&P 1500 began in 1994, though it is possible to mine data from as far back as 1992.
Each company featured can list up to nine of its operating executives for a given year, though most only report five.

How to access ExecuComp

Access campus-wide and off campus, from the Top E-Resources menu on the Library homepage, clicking on WRDS, or from the E-Resources List page. Once in WRDS, go to the Compustat page and click on the Executive Compensation link, on the left-hand side of the screen.

For further details refer to Compustat ExecuComp Manuals.
