Hints & Tips: Where can I find a company's R&D expenditure?

In ThomsonOne.com, use the default search page, click on the desired company's name, then on Company Views > Fundamentals > Financial Reports. Select the ratios tab and scroll over the growth rates.

Lookup Worldscope data item WC01201 - Research and Development Expenses in Datastream (available from the IESE Library's documentation room).

In a company's income statement which can be found in Sabi or Orbis.

Also

Go to WRDS:

• Choose Compustat
• Select Industrial Annual
• Choose the relevant dates 
• Enter the company in Company Code
• In Data items scroll down to DATA46 - Research & Development Expenses
• Submit Request
