The reports are published by a variety of industry specialists and take an in-depth look at the past, present and future of a sector. They can be downloaded as pdf files. Alternatively, individual tables and graphs may be extracted for use in Word.

GMID (Global Market Information Database)
GMID contains market reports published by Euromonitor, covering a wide variety of consumer sectors and countries. For July 2005 only, we also have trial access to a GMID module called Future Demographic. This offers short reports on demographic trends in different geographic areas.

To find market reports in GMID, enter a keyword or phrase in the search box and tick “market reports”, then “Run search”. To find Future Demographic reports, type “future demographic” (no final s) as a search term.

This is the source to go to for tens of thousands of industry reports from names such as Credit Suisse First Boston, Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney Citigroup and other analysts and banks. The reports are written to help with equity investment decisions, but the longer ones include a wealth of background information and informed opinion on most sectors in most countries.
