For a deep understanding of any topic you are likely to need to look at journals, where academics publish their research in the form of papers or articles and experts comment on the business world.

The IESE Library subscribes to some 260 paper journals and over 4000 in electronic format, including key titles such as California Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, MIT Sloan Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Marketing Research and Harvard Business Review. Most subscriptions are listed on the library catalog  with links to e-versions where available. Paper copies are available to browse in the library reading room.

To search for articles about a certain topic or by a particular author you will need to use one or more specialist databases that index the vast contents of these publications.You can see a list of databases that do this job at Library > E-Resources > By subject  > Journal articles. To be really thorough you should search them all. However, Business Source Premier is a good place to start as it covers many of the top management journals and gives access to the full text of articles for many of them.
