You may want to compare several companies’ accounts, download figures to Excel or represent trends in a graph. For this, the typical pdf format of annual reports found on the web is not very user friendly. The library subscribes to services designed to facilitate this kind of analysis and manipulation by providing data standardization, alternative currency display, peer analysis, integrated charting software and data for download.
Sabi and Amadeus Sabi (900 000 Spanish companies) and Amadeus (250 000 European companies) come from the same vendor and have the same functionality, including:
• Graph structure of balance sheet and P/L account • Chart evolution of accounting variables over time • Compare accounts items with peer companies • Download accounts and peer reports to spreadsheet
Once you have found your subject company, click Graphs, Peer report or Export to access these functions.
Amadeus standardizes the accounts data it buys from various regional sources into 22 common balance sheet items, 25 Profit & Loss and 26 ratios. This allows for comparisons between companies that use different accounting standards. In addition, monetary values can be displayed in many different currencies via the Format button.
