In general, the library does not have passwords for the websites of individual publications such as the Financial Times, as this is not the most economical or efficient way of offering multiple users with access to licensed information. Instead we subscribe to services that aggregate the content from many sources, such as Business Source Premier and Factiva.
Factiva contains the full text of articles from the Financial Times (print) from 1980 to the present, and archived content from FT.com from September 2000. In addition, Factiva offers content from around 9000 international, national and regional newspapers in 22 languages (including the Wall Street Journal, Le Monde…). You can search newspapers together or separately using your own keywords or Factiva’s company, subject, industry and geographic indexes.
Note: some newspapers have an embargo on Factiva. Content from the Financial Times (print) is available with a one-day delay, and from FT.com with a two-day delay, for example. Don’t forget that you will also find today’s FT in the library hall, along with copies from the previous week.
