This research workshop is the first in a series of quarterly workshops organized by the SP-SP Center. The aim of the workshops will be to assemble researchers in the Barcelona area to discuss applied microeconomics. This first workshop will deal with the industrial organization of the media industry with papers on the topics of transition from analog to digital TV, models of the media industry as two-sided markets, and public service broadcasting. Presenters will have 40 minutes and discussants 10 minutes.

The Public-Private Sector Research Center was created in October of 2001. Its mission is to foster cooperation between the private sector and public administrations, as well as the exchange of ideas and initiatives, through dialogue, research and education.
