This research workshop is the fourth in a series of quarterly workshops organized by the SP-SP Center. The aim of the workshops is to bring together researchers in the Barcelona area to discuss different topics in applied microeconomics.
For this fourth edition about industrial organization and innovation, Carl Shapiro, from the University of California, will talk on the patents. The session also will deal with the topics of R&D in the pharmaceutical industry, university spin-offs and the effects of industry science links. Presenters will have 40 minutes to present their work and discussants 10 minutes, leaving 10 minutes for general discussion.
