Special Session Continuous Education Program

Building Business with Social Impact
Muhammad Yunus

Social Business is a visionary new dimension for capitalism. By harnessing the energy of profit making to the objective of fulfilling human needs, social business creates self-supporting, viable commercial enterprises that generate economic growth even as they produce goods and services that make the world a better place. During his session Prof. Yunus will talk about how social business has gone from being a theory to an inspiring practice adopted by leading corporations.

Prof.  Muhammad Yunus  is founder of Grameen Bank (Bangladesh), based on the concept of microcredits. Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 and Prince of Asturias Award Laureate for Concord in 1998 for his work in encouraging social and economic development among the extremely poor. His dream is to eradicate poverty so that children may one day wonder how we could have lived with it and accepted it for so long.
