Dear Friends,

The IESE Center for Entrepreneurship would like to invite you to the IESE Search Fund Conference. This event will take place at IESE on November 16.

We are pleased to confirm our panellists at IESE for the November 16 session. Please find below a brief introduction to each of them.

Simon Webster learned about the search fund model while studying at London Business School. Between 1995 and 2005 he grew business sales from £3.5m to £30m and in EBITDA from £0.4m to £2.4m. He successfully sold the business realising an excellent return for investors in December 2005. Simon is now advising current MBA graduates who are raising search funds and is Chairman of the European Search Fund Association.

Kirk Riedinger was one of the first people to undertake a funded search. He did this in partnership with Jamie Turner; together they purchased an educational business and have grown the enterprise from $3m to in excess of $300m. He is still a major shareholder and a chief executive of the company.

Will Thorndike is a serial search fund investor, having invested in more than 50 search funds. He is the Managing General Partner of Housatonic Partners, a private equity investment firm with over $1bn in assets under management. Prior to Housatonic Partners Will worked with the Walker Publishing Company and T. Rowe Price Associates. He is a graduate of Harvard College and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Rob Johnson is a IESE faculty member, a successful entrepreneur and a partner at Delta Partners. Rob introduced Simon Webster to the search fund model and became an investor and chairman of the acquired company. Rob has also invested in a number of search funds.
