In recent years, ICTs have provided companies with a number of innovations. Thanks to these, some organizations now have more streamlined structures. Others have made changes in their employee job descriptions, enabling telecommuting or giving employees new tools for communication and collaboration. Some have even adjusted their business models by adding new value propositions, while others have taken advantage of the potential of ICTs to help expedite the process of entry into the market for their innovations in products and services. All of this notwithstanding, are ICTs a facilitator or a hindrance for innovation? Is innovation possible without information technologies?
In this sixth annual e-Business Center Event PwC&IESE, we would like to closely examine the role that ICTs play in the innovation process, doing so from two different angles:
- The business architecture needed to carry out innovative projects.
- The use of ICTs to foster innovation within the company.
