Nowadays, differentiation is a key factor of business success. Appropriate management of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is a means through which competitive advantages are created. Therefore, it is important to know which criteria were taken into account by business managers during the decision-making process regarding the adoption of technologies. These decisions may impact different strategic areas of the company as well as its economic and operational results. Moreover, it may also affect the firm's structure and work.

During the Business and Information Technology (BIT) 4th International Conference to be held at IESE Business School in Barcelona, topics will be approached from an industry perspective (June 12th), and also an academic perspective (June 13th). Participants will be able to attend one or both days, according to their preference.

On June 12th (industry perspective), executives of leading companies will tell us about the decision-making process for the adoption of new technologies in their company, and how their processes, organization and businesses models have changed as a result.

During the morning of June 13th (academic perspective), BIT partners will present their research results and related papers. Afternoon sessions will provide an opportunity for participants, from different sectors and countries, to share their work and ideas related to the Conference theme.
