Despite selling essential products, the sector is a source of innovation that has a multiplying effect and creates high-quality jobs. In Spain, pharmaceutical companies would be willing to make larger investments in response to market demands and reach slightly higher European levels, if they were operating in a more stable regulatory environment that recognizes the value of innovation.
