Finaves is a seed-capital project backed by IESE and private and institutional investors that exclusively funds business ventures spearheaded by alumni of the IESE Business School programs.
Finaves was established in the year 2000 by Professor Pedro Nueno, Chair of the Bertrán Foundation of Entrepreneurship at IESE Business School.
Since its foundation 11 years ago, Finaves has launched three seed and start up capital funds that have invested a total of close to 9 million euro in 28 promising early-stage companies led by IESE alumni from five continents. These companies in turn have contributed to the creation of 1000 employment positions and today generate more than 60 million euro in annual revenues.
The success of the funds has led Finaves, IESE’s seed capital center, to foster the creation of a new venture capital fund Finaves IV with the same ideas, philosophy and principles as its predecessors. Thus, the objective of Finaves IV will be to encourage the creation of business ventures by IESE students and alumni. In line with previous funds, Finaves IV will have a multi-sectorial outlook, investing in a wide range of sectors and industries. The investment strategy will emphasize innovation within business models and given the international character of IESE and the diverse origins of its students, the geographic scope of the fund will be global.
Finaves IV constitutes a unique opportunity for investors to support IESE entrepreneurship through the financing, mentoring and development of the companies participated by the fund.
