The International Conference of Work and Family was born with the challenge of founding a forum for creating vision and building theory for the field, with special attention to the cross-cultural dimension and the application of theory in an organizational context.

This second event will be organized to further our mission to bring together the academic and business community and their stakeholders. In addition to the four tracks we organized in 2005, there will be two additional tracks:

(1) Work-life policies and practices in organizations
(2) Cross-cultural differences in the experience of work-family conflict
(3) Decision-making in resolving work-family dilemmas
(4) Preventing work-family conflict in expatriates and their families
(5) Coping and Strategies for work-family enhancement
(6) Career development and work-family issues

Top scholars and business experts from the field have been selected to give keynote addresses or to break up into small teams and discuss their work and the work of the conference participants during simultaneous sessions. The invitees function simultaneously as presenters and reviewers.

In addition to special invitations for each field, a call for papers is open only to papers in these specific lines of research.
