IESE and the International University of Catalonia have launched this research project on strategies and systems for prevention and control of new technologies in the enterprise.

In this context, the study of the behavior of workers using the computer resources that the company offers (computer, e-mail, mobile phones, PDAs, etc..), is currently a research area of great interest.

With particular emphasis on email and the Internet, a questionnaire has been prepared with a view to giving rise to a reflection process in each company, so that the necessary control of persons is carried out in an ethical, legal and -at the same time- practical manner, without impairing the creation of an atmosphere of confidence that is essential within an organization.

The data to be gathered will serve the investigation group as a starting and reference point for the preparation of a practical guide to assist companies in the management of conflicts which, in this area, are unavoidable.
