Madrid is the capital of Spain, and its largest city, with 9 million inhabitants.
As the political, economic and social centre of the country, Madrid offers a diverse range of cultural, leisure and entertainment opportunities that contribute to the city’s unique, cosmopolitan atmosphere.
IESE hopes that you can make time to visit some of the beautiful landmarks, like: Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de España, Plaza de la Villa, Palacio Real y la Catedral de la Almudena, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Toros de las Ventas, el Parque del Retiro....
For more cultural activities, we recommend a visit to the world-renowned El Prado or Reina Sofia art museums, or the Monastery of Escorial (just outside the city). You can also get tickets for a flamenco show, a zarzuela, or browse the shops on Serrano Street.
There are many different restaurants in the city where you can enjoy both Spanish and International gastronomy.
