Structure & Calendar

The Global Finance and Strategy for Senior Executives Program is spread over six months and features three residential modules. Each module comprises 1-week and it takes place in three cities: Barcelona, New York City and Shanghai.

The first module focuses on the global context, while the second module explores globalization and financial markets in-depth. The program culminates in Shanghai with a truly eye-opening, immersive experience to enhance your ability to conduct business on a global stage.

Module Workload

Before Each Module

You will receive pre-reading materials prior to the start of each residential module with sufficient time so you can prepare. Each class or case study requires two hours advance preparation time.

During Modules

Expect to be fully occupied with classes, study and organized social activities during the three residential weeks. Between lectures and teamwork sessions, you will spend around eight to ten hours a day on each campus, so try to leave work responsibilities at the office.

Between Modules

When not on the IESE or NYU Stern campuses, you will be preparing for the next residential week and working on your Individual Business Project

Individual Business Project

The Individual Business Project is an exciting and critically important element of this program. Prior to the start of the program, each participant will identify an IBP that is a strategic priority (business or personal). Over the course of the three modules, each participant will have the opportunity to present their IBPs in small teams, hone the initiative, reframe it, receive peer feedback on it, and further execute against it so that the program delivers a measurable advance on a current need that is important to you.
